Tree Wave audiovisual performance (2003-2009)

Tree Wave (Paul Slocum and Lauren Gray) was a music and audiovisual live performance project where all music and video was produced using obsolete computer and video game equipment from the 80s. I developed custom music and video software for the Atari 2600 game system, Commodore 64 computer, and Epson dot matrix printer, and I composed all the music and video. Some of Tree Wave's performances include Deitch Projects and Eyebeam in New York, Albright Knox Gallery in Buffalo, The Dallas Museum of Art, README software art festival in Aarhus Denmark, Le Confort Moderne in Poitiers France, Futuresonic Festival in Manchester UK, and the National Center for the Arts in Mexico City.

The video clip below is from one a 2005 performance at Deitch Projects in New York, taken from the documentary 8-Bit by Marcin Ramocki. Another Tree Wave song without video is available here.
