You’re Not My Father is going to be installed at the MCA Denver, show opening this Tuesday. I got one more submission to the project since I finished it, so the version at the museum will be 20 seconds longer with the new footage. Here’s the AVISynth script that I used to edit the raw footage into the exact same cuts as the original clip:

I meant to blog this earlier, but I have two pieces in the current show at CANADA in New York. It’s my Work Desktop prints which I’ve shown before, and a new piece called One frame of a GIF animation printed and hung above a video projection of the same animation scaled to approximately 66%. I’ve got a video in the ech_o show opening saturday at CentralTrak in Dallas. This is the new UTDallas artist residency, the reborn version of the residency that I was in previously. Show includes a lot of local artists, including Brian Fridge, one of my favs. |

The Unmonumental Online member preview is tonight at the New Museum. Originally this show was just going to be online, but they’ve now also installed the work in the museum. Show includes me + Michael Bell-Smith, John Michael Boling, William Boling, Charles Broskoski, Jessica Ciocci, Petra Cortright, Chris Coy, Cao Fei, Kenneth Hung, Nina Katchadourian, Oliver Laric, Olia Lialina, and Guthrie Lonergan. There will also be a panel discussion on Saturday. Check it out if yr in NY. Show’s up until March 30th. |

I have a solo show opening Friday at Dunn and Brown Contemporary in Dallas with new work. The show will be up through the weekend of the CAA conference, so stop by if you’re in town for that. Opening is Friday, January 11th, 6-8pm. |

some of my shows that are in the works: 1] I’m putting a new version of a video I posted on Nasty Nets in a group show at Dunn & Brown in Dallas that opens this Saturday (July 14th) 2] 2person show with Kevin Bewersdorf at Okay Mountain in Austin called Passing Time and the Changing Seasons of Time (see image below) that opens August 11th. Some old stuff, some new stuff. This show is going to be awesome. 3] group show at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston opening August 17th. Big show of Texas artists including some cool people like Mike Smith and Richard Patterson. I’ll be showing some really old stuff, the Dot Matrix Synth and an old treewave video. 4] Group show in Brooklyn put together by Aron Namenwirth. Showing that weird Hats video. |
